Talents International

Son iniciativas locales que tienen la misma estructura que el Berlinale Talents, pero que mantienen perspectivas regionales y se asocian con un Festival local. La iniciativa más antigua es la del Talents Buenos Aires que lleva ediciones consecutivas desde 2005, asociada con el BAFICI – Buenos Aires Festival de Cine Independiente.
Las otras iniciativas locales son Talents Guadalajara, Talents Durban, Talents Sarajevo, Talents Tokyo y, la más nueva integrante de la familia, Talents Beirut.
Los eventos, conservan la estructura y el objetivo del Berlinale Talents; al tiempo que conservan una perspectiva regional y se realizan en el marco de un Festival internacional local.

Berlinale Talents

Desde el año 2003, Berlinale Talents es la cumbre creativa y la red de contactos del Festival de Berlín, que selecciona a 250 de los más prometedores y emergentes profesionales de cine y de televisión de todo el mundo. Consiste en un Programa cumbre con clases magistrales y mesas redondas interactivas, talleres y estudios. Además directores, guionistas y productores, con un proyecto en desarrollo pueden aplicar a uno de los cuatro laboratorios de proyecto .

Since 2003, Berlinale Talents is the Berlinale’s creative summit and networking platform for today 250 most promising and emerging film and TV series professionals from all over the world. It consists of a summit programme with master classes and interactive panel discussions, studios and workshops. Additionally directors, screenwriters, and producers with a project in development can apply for one of the four project labs.

Talents Guadalajara

Talents Guadalajara se presenta cada año en marzo, en el marco de actividades del Festival Internacional de Cine en Guadalajara desde su lanzamiento en el 2008, cuando el festival en colaboración con el Berlinale Talents del Festival Internacional de Cine de Berlín, decidieron presentar la primera edición del entonces llamado Talent Campus Guadalajara, para México, Centroamérica y el Caribe.

El talento cinematográfico de nuestra región es el principal interés del Talents Guadalajara; seleccionamos a 50 de los más destacados actores, animadores, críticos cinematográficos, directores, directores de fotografía, diseñadores sonoros, editores, guionistas y productores a que asistan a un nutrido encuentro fílmico donde interactúan entre ellos y con los expertos invitados a uno de los festivales de cine más importante de Latinoamérica, el FICG.

Talents Sarajevo

Is the Sarajevo Film Festival’s annual 6-day get-together for aspiring film professionals from Southeast Europe and Southern Caucasus. Founded in collaboration with Berlin International Film Festival and Berlinale Talents.

It brings together 70 up-and-coming actors, directors, DPs, film critics, producers and screenwriters from Southeast Europe (Albania, Bosnia and Herzegovina, Bulgaria, Croatia, Cyprus, Greece, Hungary, Kosovo, Macedonia, Malta, Moldavia, Montenegro, Romania, Serbia, Slovenia and Turkey) and Southern Caucasus (Armenia, Azerbaijan and Georgia) for a week of master classes, moderated talks, interactive panel discussions, project labs, studios and networking opportunities.

Talents Durban

Talents Durban is a five-day development programme consisting of workshops and seminars for African filmmakers delivered by film professionals and academics. The Talents, who are selected through a rigorous application process, will also have the opportunity to attend screenings and other events at the Festival.

Talents Durban aims to boost the already rising flow of contemporary filmmaking in Africa, and to encourage filmmakers on the continent to share their stories through the lens of their own own particular culture. Participants interact with over 600 delegates from DIFF and Durban FilmMart, the co-production and finance forum which takes place during the festival. The talents will also get to be part of several project-oriented, hands-on skills development programmes. Practical development programmes within Talents Durban include Story Junction, masterclasses, and one-on-one mentorships.

Talents Durban is supported by the Goethe Institut SA, the German Embassy in South Africa and the Gauteng Film Commission.

Talents Beirut

Talents Beirut is an initiative that aims to support film talents from the Arab World in the fields of cinematography, sound design, score composition and editing, allowing them to reflect on their own works by connecting with other emerging and confirmed talents, and by discovering new ways to approach the art of film making, whether from the technical or the theoretical point of views.

It is organized by the Metropolis Association and the Goethe-Institut Lebanon, in collaboration with the Berlinale Talents and FID Marseille and with the support of the Arab Fund for Arts and Culture (AFAC) and the Robert Bosch Stiftung.

Talents Tokyo

Talents Tokyo takes place each during the Film Festival TOKYO FILMeX.

Talents Tokyo offers 15 directors and producers from East and Southeast Asian countries a unique opportunity to present their own projects to experts and local industry professionals. In addition the six-day programme includes a number of training sessions as well as lectures by distinguished film experts who share their experiences with the participants.
